United States President Joe Biden has told his British counterpart, Prime Minister Liz Truss, that the 96-year-old monarch is in his thoughts. Biden informed Truss that he and First Lady Jill Biden “are thinking a lot” about the Queen and the British people.
Members of the royal family make their way to Balmoral
- Following their arrival at an air base in Aberdeen, Scotland, Prince William, grandson of Queen Elizabeth II, and his uncles Andrew and Edward, sons of the Queen of England, made their way to Balmoral.
- Local media have also reported that Prince Harry, who normally dwells with Meghan and their two children in the United States, is also on his way.
- The monarch’s successor, Prince Charles, and his wife, Camilla, were already in the Scottish castle on April 6 to commemorate her mother’s 70th anniversary as queen. Also present was Princess Anne, the monarch’s only daughter.
