The Higher They Fly Pokemon Go Easy Guide
Giovanni has returned to Pokémon GO. After a long absence, Team GO Rocket’s leader returns to the iOS and Android game with new partners in the form of Shadow Pokémon, specifically Kanto’s legendary birds. The Higher They Fly… is the last mission in the history of the Team Go Rocket invasion in Pokémon Go that began in July 2019 with A Troubled Situation.
The Higher They Fly Quests and Rewards
Before we begin this Season of Legends, it’s worth remembering that Giovanni’s main Pokémon will change over the next three months.
To locate Giovanni, we must complete six investigation phases, many of which will provide Mega Energy for Pidgeot, and beginning with the fourth phase, he will ask us to confront Arlo, Cliff, and Sierra, Giovanni’s 3 main leaders. It’ll be time to face him with his dark Articuno once we have the Super Radar Rocket.

- Win a Raid
- 15 Poke Balls
- Defeat 3 Team GO Rocket Grunts
- 3 Hyper Potion
- Catch 1 Shadow Pokémon
- 3 Revives
Phase 1 Rewards: 10x Pinab Berry, 10x Nanab Berry, 10x Razz Berry
Phase 2 of 6
- Catch 5 Shadow Pokémon
- 1 Sun Stone
- When catching Shadow Pokémons, remember to use Pinap Berries!
- Make 3 Nice Curveball throws in a row
- 15 Great Balls
- If you’re having difficulty hitting all three Great Curve Ball Throws in a row, try going after Pokémon like Mr. Mime, who has a large catch radius.
- Catch 10 Flying-type Pokémon
- An encounter with Doduo
Phase 2 Rewards: 500x Stardust, 1500 XP, 10x Mega Pidgeot Candy

- Purify 5 Shadow Pokémon
- 30x Pidgeot Mega Energy
- Defeat 5 Team GO Rocket Grunts

- Earn 3 candies walking with your friend
- 30x Pidgeot Mega Energy
