Jon Voight has slammed his daughter, Angelina Jolie, over her statement about the ongoing Israel-Palestinian conflict. As the A-list actress has shown her support to the Palestinians instead of the Israelis, the iconic actor felt disappointed. He also accused his child of spreading “lies” on social media.
Jolie finally has issued a new statement over the ongoing war between Israel and Hamas in a couple of posts on Instagram. Among the many reactions she gets is from her father, who seems to dislike everything she says.
Jon Voight Reacts to Angelina Jolie’s Stance on Israeli-Palestinian Conflict
Jon Voight can’t help but share his reactions to Angelina Jolie’s stance on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the award-winning actor said he was “disappointed” because his daughter had “no understanding of God’s honor, God’s truth,” adding the Israeli army needed to protect their land and people.
“This is about destroying the history of God’s land, the Holy Land, the land of the Jews; this is justice for God’s children of the holy land,” he continued.
Voight explained that what was going on between the two estates was war, and it was not what the “left” thought it was. “It can’t be civil now,” he added.

He then called the people who saw Israel as the problem “fools” and asked them to look at themselves and ask who and what they were. He also wanted them to question themselves if they knew the truth or if they were being lied to and just following others. “Because my friends, the ones who understand truth, see the lie,” he said.
He also denounced the October 7 Hamas attack in Israel, which killed about 1,400 people, many of whom were civilians. Voight stressed that Israel was also attacked, and the inhuman terror affected “innocent babies, mothers, fathers, and grandparents,” accusing the Palestinians of wanting to wipe out Jews and Christians.
In an interview on Fox News’ Life, Liberty & Levin in 2018, Voight revealed he felt responsible for standing up to antisemitism after being exposed to the Jewish community in Scarsdale, New York when he was a child despite being raised as a Catholic.

Before cutting off his clip, the Ray Donovan star wanted people to see that Hamas was “destroying their own people, not Israel.”
Angelina Jolie Releases Statement about Israeli-Palestinian Conflict
As a former special envoy to the UNCHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, Angelina Jolie used her voice to support the refugees and share awareness about what’s going on around the world.
In her post, the actress once again called for an immediate ceasefire to let the needed help pass through Gaza after the Israeli army heightened its attacks on the strip. She then said that millions of Palestinian civilians, from children to women and families, were punished and dehumanized while also being deprived of food, medicine, and humanitarian aid.
“By refusing to demand a humanitarian ceasefire and blocking the UN Security Council from imposing one on both parties, world leaders are complicit in these crimes,” she continued.
She also wrote that Gaza was quickly becoming a “mass grave” due to Israel’s airstrikes, and the world could see how millions of Palestinian civilians were being punished. According to the Palestinian health ministry, almost 10,000 civilians, including 4,000 kids, were killed in airstrikes on Gaza after the attack.
Jolie has yet to respond to her father’s comments as of this writing.
Sure, the two parties have their own points that they want to stress, but pinpointing who’s at fault in this war is probably unnecessary. This will only cause more conflict in the already complicated situation. The Israeli-Palestinian conflict has a long history that not everyone understands or knows of, and both of their citizens fall victim to the ongoing war. So, instead of arguing and putting the blame, these two estates’ peoples need everyone’s support and help now more than ever.
