Taylor Swift might have been brokenhearted again after the news about her second fan, Gabriel Milhomem Santos’ demise, broke out. The 25-year-old reportedly tragically d*ed after being fatally stabbed after watching The Eras Tour in Brazil. This news comes after another fan, named Ana Clara Benevides Machado, passed away after going to the pop giant’s concert on Friday night. So, what happened to these Swifties?
The Case of the Second Taylor Swift Fan: Gabriel Milhomem Santos
According to The Messenger, Gabriel Milhomem Santos was k*lled hours after he attended Taylor Swift’s show at Nilton Santos Olympic Stadium in Rio de Janeiro over the weekend. He was reportedly wearing a “Swifties” friendship bracelet when the horrible attack happened while resting on Copacabana beach on Sunday, November 19.
He was with his two cousins then, and the three went to the famous beach for the night. However, the unexpected happened when Santos was asleep when three men approached him and woke up amid the assault.

Santos’ family members revealed he would be laid to rest in his hometown of Mato Gross du Sol wearing the outfit he made for The Eras Tour. In an interview with the local media G1 via Metro, Santos just fulfilled a dream of traveling from Belo Horizonte to see Taylor performing live.
Santos was said to be a “cheerful, affectionate, and extremely studious” man and an only child who was always by his mother’s side despite studying in another state.
The Case of Ana Clara Benevides Machado after Taylor Swift’s Concert
Meanwhile, the first Taylor Swift fan who passed after seeing The Eras Tour in Brazil on Friday, November 17, was Ana Clara Benevides Machado. The event happened amid the soaring temperatures in the city and caused mass panic. Water was also said to be prohibited in the venue; thus, the Grammy winner had to stop her performance to ask for drinks to be distributed to her fans.

At the time, one of the attendees was Machado. According to reports, the fan was already feeling “unwell” when she was at the stadium. She then reportedly fainted and went into cardiac arrest. She d*ed after being transferred to the hospital. Her cause of d*ath hasn’t been officially announced as of this writing.
One of Machado’s friends, Folha de S.Paulo, said she was resuscitated at the stadium and had a second cardiac arrest while on the way to the hospital. She was said to have d*ed after arriving at the hospital.
Her untimely demise was announced by Time for Fun, aka T4F, which organized Taylor’s concerts at Nilton Santos Olympic Stadium.
It said in a statement:
“It’s with great sadness that we inform you about the death of Ana Clara Benevides Machado, aged 23. Yesterday night, Ana Clara felt unwell and was assisted by a team of emergency workers and paramedics, being taken to a medical centre at Nilton Santos Olympic Stadium so the first aid protocol could be applied. Given the situation, the medical team opted to transfer her to Salgado Filho Hospital. After nearly an hour of emergency assistance, she regrettably died. We send our most sincere condolences to the family and friends of [Ana Clara].”

In a post on Instagram, she wrote:
“I can’t believe I’m writing these words but it is with a shattered heart that I say we lost a fan earlier tonight before my show. I can’t even tell you how devastated I am by this. There’s very little information I have other than the fact that she was so incredibly beautiful and far too young. I’m not going to be able to speak about this from stage because I feel overwhelmed by grief when I even try to talk about it. I want to say now I feel this loss deeply and my broken heart goes out to her family and friends. This is the last thing I ever thought would happen when we to bring this tour to Brazil.”
Taylor has yet to address the d*ath of Gabriel Milhomem Santos as of this writing.
If there’s one thing that Taylor Swift may have wished for her fans, of course, it may be their wellness. Nobody sees this coming, and this all happened by accident. She even canceled one of her Rio de Janeiro tours to avoid having another accident amid the high temperatures. Hopefully, nothing like this happens again, whether it’s her fan or anyone else.
