The FIFTY FIFTY dispute is reaching its conclusion as ATTRAKT terminated the contract with three members Saena, Sio, and Aran. Police are now going to investigate The Givers CEO Ahn Sung Il after finding new evidence against him in the FIFTY FIFTY dispute. Read ahead to understand the current situation of the dispute and Ahn Sung Il’s investigation.
Why is The Givers CEO Ahn Sung Il going to be investigated?
The Givers company signed a project management contract with ATTRAKT in 2021 and they played a key role in the production of FIFTY FIFTY‘s debut single Cupid. When the quartet announced to sue the company demanding a contract termination ATTRAKT’s CEO Jun Hong Joon alleged and sued Ahn Sung Il’s for gaslighting the girls under obstruction of business.

After months of dispute, the group’s member Keena dropped the lawsuit and rejoined the agency. She also gave an exclusive interview with Dispatch highlighting the role Ahn Sung Il played in the dispute.
As per her The Givers CEO manipulated and gaslighted FIFTY FIFTY for filing the temporary contract termination suit. He gave them a fake COVID test ahead of the lawsuit submission and assured their family that the company would receive an offer from Warner Music Korea after the preliminary injunction was announced.
Keena stated that she found out that her copyright royalties for Cupid were reduced from 6,5% to 0,5% through the news. She said that someone forged her signature on the request for change.

He also allegedly promised them of providing crucial evidence but failed to deliver it resulting in the first rejection of the group’s preliminary injunction. Additionally, he forged Keena’s signature to lower her copyright percentage to 0.5% and proceeded with the buyout without explaining what it meant to the members or their families.
With all this new evidence the police have begun investigating Ahn Sung Il on October 24. They are suspecting him of charges including obstruction of business, damage to electronic records, breach of trust, embezzlement, forgery of private documents, and use of forged documents.
What does this mean for FIFTY FIFTY in the dispute?
This is an important event for FIFTY FIFTY as the investigation will help clear out the false accusations on the group of filing the termination of the contract after being tempted over the Warner Music Korea buyout. The investigation will also reveal more details about The Givers CEO’s role in the whole dispute and clarify other details.
ATTRAKT terminated Aran, Sio and Saena’s contracts. However, they stated they will take legal measures against them.

In the meantime, the Seoul court has rejected the preliminary injunction of FIFTY FIFTY as a formality as the three members of the group parted ways with the agency. ATTRAKT has shared that they are going to take legal action against Seana, Sio, and Aran. This is probably over the dispute of mismanagement allegations and not directly about Ahn Sung Il’s involvement.
