Another day, another exciting news for the fans of BLACKPINK Jisoo. After her cameo in Arthdal Chronicles and the 2021 Snowdrop, the newly debuted actress has been receiving a lot of acting ventures. And it would probably pile up more, as BLACKPINK Jisoo is reportedly gearing for the silver screen in Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint. But how true is it that the K-pop idol would join the film’s star-studded cast? Here’s what we know so far.
BLACKPINK Jisoo and Casting Offer for the Movie
On October 24, KST, YG Entertainment revealed that the BLACKPINK member has been offered to appear in the upcoming film adaptation. “BLACKPINK’s Jisoo has been approached with an offer to feature in the ‘Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint.’ She is currently reviewing the proposal,” according to allkpop. This resulted in numerous posts on X (formerly Twitter) about BLACKPINK Jisoo’s next acting gig.
- In a Naver article, Kim Jisoo was offered the role of Lee Ji-hye in the Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint movie. The character is said to be one of the colleagues of one of the main leads, Yoo Jung-hyuk. So far, that’s the only description fans can know about Jisoo’s potential role in the film.

- We have yet to wait for the official announcement of whether BLACKPINK Jisoo will accept the casting offer. But if we were to look at it, taking on a different genre from the drama Snowdrop would be an exciting sight. Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint will be a film adaptation of a web novel with a similar title. Interestingly, it may lean on the fantasy genre, with Kim Dok-ja trying to save the world as it changes based on the contents of the novel he was reading. The web novel has been receiving lots of popularity since it came to life in 2018. According to reports, the filming for the movie is slated to start in December.
Other Acting Schedules of BLACKPINK Jisoo
Kim Jisoo has been a favorite of news outlets this 2023. She debuted as a soloist last March 2023 with FLOWER. In August, the Ahn Bo Hyun dating news came as a shock to fans but garnered favorable and supportive responses afterward. Jisoo’s also on a roll with lined-up casting offers, both for the small and big screens.
