Though there is no official announcement yet, we can all expect this treatment from Microsoft in the future. Starfield is Bethesda’s biggest project they’ve worked on in recent years. Since Microsoft acquired them back in 2020, the game’s success will directly affect the company’s revenue. As a result, if an Xbox Series X with Starfield bundle is manufactured as part of the marketing tactics, will it include the limited-edition Starfield controller as well?
What is the Limited-Edition Starfield Controller?
- This limited-edition controller is an exclusive Starfield-themed video game controller that works with both Xbox (One, Series X/S) and PC.
- It is primarily a white controller with red accents across the sticks and a metallic bronze design for the D-pad. It also flaunts some clever texts and etchings related to Starfield on its body.

Why it might be bundled with a Starfield-themed Xbox Series X
- The Halo Infinite limited-edition Xbox Series X was shipped with a controller that carried the overall theme along with the main console. So, there’s a slight chance we can see a similar bundle in the works at Microsoft.
- Starfield is one of the biggest games coming out for the Xbox ecosystem. The massive amount of marketing and the constant media attention are clear evidence to support this statement.
- Needless to say, Microsoft will look to provide its launch with the maximum amount of fan service. As a result, the inclusion of the controller with the bundle would seem like a natural choice.
Why it might not be bundled with a Starfield-themed Xbox Series X
We have seen that the PlayStation 5 bundles from Sony only carry the base game with it following the absence of wraps on its main console or controller. As a result, there is no obligation from Microsoft to provide a competition.
- The Xbox limited edition Starfield controller is priced slightly higher than the normal ones in retail. That said, including the controller might bump up the bundle’s price, possibly putting off some customers.
- The game’s release date is also awfully close, with no announcement of a special edition console from the makers. This reduces the chance of such a bundle coming out altogether.
