Genshin Impact is undeniably a commercial success since its release
Within the first few weeks of its release, Genshin Impact has been downloaded over 23 million times and earned $100 million in just two weeks. Additionally, the game has been downloaded over 97.2 million times as of January 2022.
Then, that figure only kept going up as HoYoverse raked in over $1 billion at the end of March 2021.
Because of this incredible feat, Genshin Impact is known as one of the highest-grossing games on both the Google Play and App Store. And as of March 2022, the game has earned over $4.267 billion with its attractive gacha system.

How many active players are there?
Aside from being a commercial success through its gacha system, Genshin Impact also has a large player base. As of June 1, 2022, the game has an average of 62,320,225 players in the past 30 days. This is according to a stats tracking site called activeplayer.io.
In a detailed table for the Live Monthly Player count for Genshin Impact, the game is far from being obsolete. As we previously mentioned, the numbers for Genshin Impact only go up. For the max number of players in a day, the game’s servers have over 10,386,704 players who logged in for the past 30 days.
This number is already impressive since if we compare it to other multiplayer online games, Genshin Impact really beats them all with its player count.

What is Genshin Impact?
Genshin Impact is a free-to-play roleplaying game developed by HoYoverse. It features an open-world environment wherein players need to travel through a world called Teyvat in search of their missing Twin. Throughout their journey, they are accompanied by a floating companion called Paimon. Moreover, they meet all kinds of people on their journey and unlock new regions in Teyvat.
The game features a gacha system wherein players need to collect a certain amount of in-game currency to ‘wish’ for characters and weapons. These characters in turn are playable and can be added to your party. Additionally, each character has their own unique skillset and “element”.
There are currently seven Elements in the game: Anemo, Hydro, Pyro, Cryo, Electro, Geo, and Dendro. Each Element is represented by a god or an Archon. So far, there have been three Archons introduced: Venti/Barbatos, Morax/Zhongli, and Beelzebul/Raiden Ei.

I know about how much profit they make, but they are stingy with the items needed for summoning new characters (primogems), and still after making so much profit, they haven’t changed that attitude at all. And the price of in-game purchase-able items is literally way too much
