Players who get Hogwarts Legacy on PlayStation consoles are in for a treat as they will get their very own exclusive quest. Unlike on other platforms, only wizards on the PlayStation consoles get access to this quest.
The exclusive quest for Hogwarts Legacy is only available for players on the PlayStation 4 and 5. Additionally, players on these platforms get the Felix Felicis Potion Recipe. Here are all the details about this exclusive quest in Hogwarts Legacy.
The PlayStation versions of Hogwarts Legacy will get their own exclusive quest and potion recipe
During the Gamescom Opening Night Live 2022, the game had plenty of announcements lined up for eager Wizards wanting to enroll in Hogwarts. Some of the announcements involved a new gameplay trailer. Furthermore, they revealed what players can expect from the Collector’s Edition of Hogwarts Legacy.
But what wasn’t announced during Gamescom was that the PlayStation versions of the game were getting exclusive content.
If eagle-eyed players didn’t spot the listing for Hogwarts Legacy on the PlayStation Store, it would have remained unnoticed for most Witches and Wizards.

Once players started asking Avalanche Software about the exclusive content, the official Twitter account of Hogwarts Legacy finally cleared things up. In a series of tweets from August 27, here is what the game’s official Twitter account revealed.
Only PlayStation pre-orders of Hogwarts Legacy will receive the potion recipe
After the Hogwarts Legacy community were confused on which players will receive an exclusive potion, it was immediately cleared up. According to Avalanche Software, players who pre-order the game on PlayStation consoles will get the recipe for Felix Felicis.
For those unfamiliar with this potion, Felix Felicis is also called “Liquid Luck” in the universe of Harry Potter. What it does is grants luck to whoever drinks it. However, this effect only lasts for a short period of time.
And even though it is called Liquid Luck, it causes the person who drank it to act recklessly and dangerously. Furthermore, whoever drinks too much of this potion can feel overconfident.
As for what it does in Hogwarts Legacy, there are no further details about the potion yet. We may get to know more as the release date for the game draws nearer.
All PlayStation editions of the game comes with an exclusive quest
For the exclusive quest which had the Hogwarts Legacy community in confusion for a while, it will be available to anyone as long as they play the game on PlayStation consoles. What this means is whether or not you pre-ordered the game, you’ll have access to the platform-exclusive quest.
At the moment, there is no information about what this quest will be. According to the game’s official Twitter account, more information regarding content exclusive to Sony is coming soon.
Hogwarts Legacy will not feature any microtransactions
And finally, Avalanche Software highlighted that the game will not have any microtransactions whatsoever. This has been talked about from time to time among the game’s community.
On the other hand, players who buy the Standard Edition will have the option to purchase some of the contents exclusive to the Deluxe Edition.
So if you buy the Standard Edition but you want the Dark Arts Pack, you can do so once the game launches for everyone.
Hogwarts Legacy is set to release in February 2023. But if you pre-order the Deluxe or Collector’s Edition of the game, you’ll have access to the game 3 days before its initial release.
The game from Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment is available for PlayStation 4 & 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. You can already place pre-orders if you want bonus content. Moreover, it comes in three variations: Collector’s Edition, Deluxe Edition, and Standard Edition.
