The Isle of Spires Relic Ruins, one of the most challenging puzzles in Horizon Forbidden West, is spread out over numerous floors of multiple structures and will require players to locate a key and several Datapoints in order to reach the ornament.
Isle of Spires Relic Ruins Puzzle
When you get in the Isle of Spires Relic Ruins, seek for the key door and use Aloy’s Focus to scan the nearby Datapoint.
This reveals that you’ll need both a key and a seven-digit security code, the latter of which is split into two pieces, to unlock the door. The first half is quite simple to obtain.
Climbing up one of the surrounding mossy pillars will uncover the location of a crate located higher up.
To get to the grapple point on the other side of the building, use the Pullcaster to get onto the ledge adjacent to it and then take a running jump. Follow the line around and draw the container off the ledge from the end of the yellow beam with the Pullcaster. If it becomes trapped, simply continue tugging it until it falls completely into the water below.
- Follow the container down to a spot where they can see the ornament through the wall after it’s in the water. Remove the crate from the water and use it to get access to the ceiling ventilation duct.
- Aloy will arrive at the Locked In after following this shaft! The initial portion of the door code is 2109, according to datapoint. Begin with two and work your way clockwise to the following three digits.
Elevator
After you’ve figured out the first portion of the door code, use it to open a nearby door before returning outside. To get to the ninth level, climb either the east or the north-facing wall of the building’s exterior. You’ll discover an elevator, but in order to use it, you’ll need a completely charged Energy Cell.
It’s simple to locate an Energy Cell because one may be found in an adjacent room. Unfortunately, it’s out of power, and while there’s a charger in the room to the right of it, the cell’s energy will dissipate just as players are about to carry it back to the elevator.

You’ll come to a dead-end with a ventilation shaft in the ceiling if you go past the chamber with the charger. You can climb inside by using the Pullcaster, and the resulting shaft will lead to an adjacent room with another charger.
Destruction of the surrounding Firegleam crystal will connect this room to the main corridor. You should have no issue transporting the cell back to the elevator before its energy entirely empties.
Door Code
Ride the elevator down to the first floor. Using the Pullcaster, pull the neighboring box out of the water and push it into the stretch of water leading to the Metal Flower. Once it’s in there, destroy the Metal Flower before pulling the crate deeper into the water with the Pullcaster. This should allow you to climb to the top and blast a nearby ladder down through a hole in the south wall.
Return to the elevator and use the Pullcaster to haul the cargo out of the water once the ladder has been lowered. Take it up to the ninth floor, use it to reach a platform containing an Ancient Valuables chest and, eventually, the tenth floor. From here, jump to the tenth level of an adjacent building and then down to a locked office on the next floor.

Scanning the Datapoint on the table here reveals that the three-digit code is 10, followed by the floor number. This Datapoint is located on the ninth floor, as shown by the file name 9th Floor Security Measures, which means that the second portion of the door code is 109. To open the door, use this with the neighboring console, then descend back into the water below.
Main Office Key
Climb up as high as you can on the ladder that you blasted down earlier. When you can no longer advance any higher, hit the Circle button to leap backward to a ledge and a new location. The Key to the Main Office is on the floor. Before returning to the area below, pick it up.
Use the key to unlock the locked door. Enter the complete seven-digit security code 2109109 to unlock the door and gain access to the Golden Toucans Ornament on the inside. If you’ve already completed Stemmur’s Nights of Lights side quest near the Las Vegas ruins, you’ll be able to give him the ornament to unlock a brand-new light display.
