There is little doubt that people are wondering what to expect in Loki Season 2 Episode 5. After all, the latest episode of the series had a shocking conclusion that left most viewers wondering about the future. Although the God of Mischief and Mobius managed to convince Victor Timely to help fix the Temporal Loom, their efforts failed and seemingly led to a massive explosion (and possible destruction) at the TVA.
But does this mean the end for the TVA? Although the fate of the characters is still unclear, Loki Season 2 is far from over, as there are two more episodes to look forward to in the second season. In addition to that, executive producer Kevin Wright assures that there are awesome things happening in the second season’s Episodes 5 and 6.
Loki Producer Hypes Up Season 2’s Last 2 Episodes
Kevin Wright recently spoke to GamesRadar where he discussed the ending of the fourth episode of Loki Season 2. Interestingly, Wright pointed out that they wanted to introduce chaos into the storyline right away.
“It was something we started learning in Season 1,” the executive producer said. “This idea of story acceleration. If the season seems like it’s going to be about fixing that Temporal Loom, what if that just… breaks right in the middle of the season and everything goes wrong?”
He continued that it presented them with the opportunity to give viewers a sense of hope in the series.
“Not only did it allow us a really great cliffhanger, but where you go after that is totally new territory then,” Wright said. “If the first four episodes of Season 2 are about things falling apart or not working; choices being made that maybe aren’t the right choices, then the back half can really allow us to go to some, hopefully, profound places.”
It’s a hopeful tease at things to come in Loki Season 2 Episodes 5 and 6. On the other hand, it makes fans wonder how the series can possibly continue now that it looks like the TVA has been destroyed.
Will Loki Season 2 Episode 5 Explain What Went Wrong?
In Episode 4, just after Victor Timely turns into spaghetti and right before the Temporal Loom explodes, Loki and his companions watch their impending demise. However, they also asked important questions. “What did we do wrong?” Hunter B-15 asked. The question has led to speculations that the remaining TVA employees made a series of wrong decisions that ultimately led to what transpired in the episode.
So what will happen in Loki Season 2 Episode 5? There is a possibility that the upcoming episode will explore all the mistakes that would lead to the Temporal Loom’s explosion. For instance, it might have been a bad idea to allow Victor Timely to check the hot cocoa machine with only D-90. In addition to that, they may have sent the wrong person out to launch the Throughput Multiplier into the Loom, as Loki was originally meant to do it before Victor volunteered to make the heroic act.
If this is the case, Loki might need to change his decisions in the past to ensure their victory in the future. Moreover, he isn’t the only one who needs to make the right choices to make sure they are all safe in the end. There is a huge possibility that Renslayer’s decision to go against He Who Remains and take over the TVA was the wrong one. With that in mind, we’re hoping that everything eventually works out for the TVA in the highly anticipated Episode 5.
Loki Season 2 Episode 5 will serve as the penultimate episode of the second season. For now, the upcoming episode has not yet been given an official title but is already set to premiere on Disney+ on November 2, 2023.
