Pokemon Unite has loads of treats and no tricks for players this coming Halloween season. In this article, we’ll be focusing on one of the three upcoming Pokemon in Pokemon Unite for the October update. Zoroark will be released along with Clefable and Sableye, but this particular Pokemon will fill the role of a Speedster. Naturally, this has us asking: is Zoroark going to be strong in Pokemon Unite? Thankfully, we already have a glimpse of Zoroark’s abilities and gameplay in Pokemon Unite.

Although Pokemon Unite took it upon themselves to announce the arrival of these three Pokemon, data miners and leakers have been hard at work in bringing the latest news for Zoroark. From what we know so far about Zoroark’s abilities, it looks like he’ll definitely be changing the meta in Pokemon Unite.
Is Zoroark strong in Pokemon Unite?
It’s always the same question every time a new character is released in a game like Pokemon Unite. Players always want to know whether or not this character will be the new meta or not. Hey, we don’t blame you. There’s nothing sweeter than scoring that hard-earned victory over your foes in Pokemon Unite.
But to do that, you’ll want to make sure that your team is equipped with the right Pokemon characters in Unite. The information we have so far about Zoroark looks like this Pokemon’ll be one of the top picks for Trainers after its release.

Here’s an overview of Zoroark’s stats in Pokemon Unite:
- Zoroark is rumored to be a Speedster Pokemon
- This Pokemon may also be an All-Rounder or an Attacker
- Its DMG from normal attacks is higher than its Special Attack
- This makes Zoroark a Physical Attacker
Zoroark’s abilities in Pokemon Unite
Trainers in Pokemon Unite are more than excited for Zoroark’s release because of one of its abilities. Zoroark is capable of mirroring or transforming into another Pokemon on the field using its Passive called Illusion.
Check out this footage of Zoroark’s gameplay.
- At the 2:55 mark, we can see that Zoroark turns into the enemy Scyther.
- Zoroark’s Passive Ability is definitely going to be something Trainers will want to utilize to confuse enemies and catch them off-guard.
You should definitely look to get Zoroark on your team if you’re a Trainer who’s fond of powerful Speedsters like this one.
Its other abilities are Shadow Claw, Fury Swipes, and Nightfall Daze. As for upgrading its abilities, Trainers can expect the Night Slash and Feint Attack as Zoroark levels up in Pokemon Unite matches. Most of the abilities also give this Pokemon the ability to dash and bully its enemies on the battlefield.
Is it strong?
From what we’ve seen so far, there’s definitely no denying that Zoroark is going to be strong and OP in Pokemon Unite. But the team at Pokemon Unite looks like they know exactly what they’re doing.
Don’t get too excited yet about getting Zoroark since as we previously mentioned, Clefable and Sableye are also releasing this October.
- Most of Zoroark’s skills have dashes in between them, but that doesn’t mean this Pokemon will be unstoppable in Unite
- Clefable is a great counter for Zoroark since it can shut down Zoroark’s dashes
- If you plan on maining Zoroark once it becomes available in Pokemon Unite, steer clear of any enemy Clefable
It’s only fitting that Pokemon Unite is releasing Clefable along with Zoroark. Both characters change the meta but at the end of the day, it all comes down to your strategy and playstyle.
Release Date
There is no final release date for Zoroark yet, but Trainers can definitely expect this character to release sometime in October. Since Clefable is shaping up to be one of the best counters for Zoroark, there’s a chance both Pokemon release on October 13.

Take this with a grain of salt since between both characters, only Clefable has an official release date from Pokemon Unite.
The latest Pokemon joining Unite is Scizor, an All-Rounder Pokemon. Also coming with Scizor is a new feature in Pokemon Unite where choosing a specific move while in a match will have you play as either Scyther or Scizor.
Make sure to keep your game updated as Scizor releases in Pokemon Unite across all servers tomorrow!
