The K-pop superstar, SUGA from BTS announced his solo release D-DAY under the alias of Agust D on Sunday, April 2, 2023. D-DAY will further add to his trilogy albums as Agust D. The album will release ahead of his world tour on April 21 at 1 P.M KST / 12 A.M EST. It will also include the pre-release track People Pt. 2 featuring IU.

BTS announced their hiatus as a group last year however that hasn’t discouraged the group’s members from furthering their solo careers in the most iconic ways. Jimin recently become the first Korean solo artist to chart on Billboard Top 100 with his title Like Crazy from his album FACE.

The latest member to add a new project to their discography is SUGA and his alias, Agust D. According to his managing label BigHit Music, SUGA will release his upcoming album, D-Day, right before his first solo tour on April 21.

BTS SUGA’s D-DAY will include People Pt. 2 featuring IU 

Following the chartbuster D-2, SUGA will release D-DAY marking the final release of his mixtape trilogy. Daechwita singer’s debut mixtape, Agust D, was released in 2016. It launched SUGA’s alias Agust D ( Deagu- Town SUGA read backward) and highlighted his rapper persona with help from writer-producers Slow Rabbit, June, Pdogg, and Supreme Boi.

The BTS rapper-producer continued his journey as Agust D with D-2 the mixtape 2020. The album charted at 9th spot on the Top Rap Albums chart and 11th on the Billboard 200. Now, SUGA is ready to complete his trilogy as Agust D with D-DAY.

According to the latest updates, SUGA’s upcoming album will also include People Pt. 2 featuring IU. The track will mark their second musical collaboration after 2020 chart-topping single Eight. The song People Pt. 2 will be pre-release on April 7, 2023, at 1 P.M KST / 12 AM EST.

 

Moreover, SUGA shared a 30-second teaser in late March for an upcoming solo documentary, titled Road to D-Day. The documentary will take his fans on an intimate trip with the singer as it airs on Disney+ and Weverse.


SUGA’s upcoming solo tour will feature Agust D as a ‘guest performer’

SUGA has revealed the dates for his upcoming first-ever solo world tour. It is scheduled to begin on April 26 at UBS Arena in Belmont Park, New York. Following this, he will perform a series of shows across the United States in early and mid-May.

He will then begin the Asian leg of the tour by performing in Jakarta later the same month. Followed by Japan in early June, continuing in Bangkok, Singapore, and two shows in Seoul on June 24 and 25. The D-DAY album will release right before the world tour so fans may expect to see SUGA perform as his alias Agust D on stage soon.
