Jimmy Donaldson, popularly known as MrBeast, uploaded a video in which he helped treat the hearing of 1,000 individuals. The creator is famous for dishing out thousands of dollars into his YouTube content. Most of his videos show Donaldson giving away or using his money for the benefit of others.
His philanthropic videos have earned the creator 151 million subscribers on the platform. He is also the second most subscribed individual creator on YouTube coming next to PewDiePie. However, he also receives a significant amount of criticism on the internet.
Recently, MrBeast’s fans have started to defend the creator by posting fake hate on social media. Fans mock haters by posting exaggerated fake hate on social media.
MrBeast helps treat 1,000 people’s hearing
MrBeast uploaded his last YouTube video on Saturday, May 6. The video is titled:
“1,000 Deaf People Hear For The First Time”
The video instantly blew up on the internet gaining 18 million views in one day. It is currently trending at number 6 on the video-sharing app.
However, not everyone appreciates MrBeast creating videos focused on individuals with functional needs. People accused the creator of using differently-abled people to attract viewers on social media. They also accused the creator of ignorance and ableism, explaining that hearing aids don’t cure deafness.

The phenomenon was first noticed when the creator uploaded a similar video three months ago. In the video, he helped treat 1000 blind people with their vision. They claimed that the creator was posting “inspiration p*rn,” a term coined by late activist Stella Young in her TEDx talk in 2014. Young explained the idea in her speech by saying:
“The purpose of these images is to inspire you, to motivate you, so that we can look at them and think, ‘Well, however bad my life is, it could be worse. I could be that person.”
People explained that the videos use differently-abled individuals to inspire those who are able-bodied and promote the idea of “it could have been worse.” Adding that the video objectifies differently-abled individuals, and portrays them in a negative light.
MrBeast addressed the hate in his previous video by Tweeting:
“Twitter – Rich people should help others with their money.
Me – Okay, I’ll use my money to help people and I promise to give away all my money before I die. Every single penny.

Fans defend the creator by posting fake hate comments on Twitter
MrBeast fans have found a unique way to defend the creator on social media. Followers overflow negative posts about the YouTuber with fake hate comments, ridiculing the critic.
