The new Marvel Cinematic Universe theory suggests a significant connection to the Fantastic Four through the mysterious Ravonna Renslayer. As they delve deeper into the mysteries of the Time Variance Authority, this season has introduced new elements, including a new Kang Variant known as Victor Timely, and hinted at a clandestine plot involving Ravonna Renslayer and Miss Minutes. Most notably, the animated clock revealed that she is aware of a huge secret about the TVA judge.
Loki Season 2: Renslayer’s Big Secret
Amidst all these intrigues, the most burning question is the nature of the secret that Miss Minutes is ready to reveal. While numerous theories have emerged, one particularly captivating idea ties Renslayer to the Fantastic Four, suggesting the superhero team’s impending entrance into the MCU.
The Reddit theory centers around the idea that Renslayer may be connected not only to Kang the Conqueror but also to the Fantastic Four. It draws inspiration from a Marvel Comics storyline featuring Valeria Richards, the daughter of Fantastic Four members Reed Richards and Sue Storm. In the comics, Valeria was bioengineered into Ravonna Renslayer and fashioned as the ideal companion for Kang. The infamous Doctor Doom orchestrated the grand scheme, who aimed to manipulate Kang into working with him. The theory speculates that Loki Season 2 might adapt this storyline to establish a link between Renslayer and the Fantastic Four.
While it’s a wild idea, it also seems to fit perfectly into Loki’s crazy narrative. After all, the series already featured a reptilian Variant for Loki (we still love you, Alligator Loki) and an amphibian Thor Variant (where are you, Throg?) in the first season alone. The idea of Renslayer being bioengineered to be the perfect companion to Kang the Conqueror hardly feels far-fetched after all that. It’s also a cool way to introduce Marvel’s First Family into the MCU and potentially lead up to their upcoming film.
When Will The Fantastic Four Be Introduced into the MCU?
The Fantastic Four, often abbreviated as FF, is a team of intrepid explorers who gained extraordinary abilities after an unforeseen cosmic radiation exposure during their mission aboard the Marvel-1 spacecraft. The team comprises the brilliant scientist Reed Richards aka Mister Fantastic, his partner in both science and life Sue Storm aka Invisible Woman, Sue’s flammable younger brother Johnny Storm aka Human Torch, and their loyal friend Ben Grimm aka the Thing.
Kevin Feige, the head of Marvel Studios, announced the news of a Fantastic Four film within the MCU, during San Diego Comic-Con in July 2019. In December 2020, it was revealed that Spider-Man director Jon Watts would direct the film. However, in April 2022, Watts left the project for personal reasons. Subsequently, at the D23 Expo in September 2022, Kevin Feige introduced director Matt Shakman as the new director for the film, with a release date set for November 8, 2024.
While the theory about Renslayer’s connection to the Fantastic Four remains speculative, it aligns with Marvel’s approach to weaving intricate narratives and connections within the MCU.
