The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) has captivated audiences with its stellar lineup of superheroes, intense battles, and unforgettable villains. As fans eagerly await the arrival of Deadpool 3, speculation runs rampant regarding the identity of the film’s formidable antagonist. Known for his irreverent wit and unorthodox methods, the wise-cracking mercenary Deadpool, portrayed by award-winning actor Ryan Reynolds, is set to clash with a Big Bad unlike any other. With the MCU expanding its roster of iconic characters, the burning question arises: who will step into the shoes of the primary antagonist in this highly anticipated installment?
Previously, MCU hired Emma Corrin as the main villain of Deadpool 3. But now, that doesn’t seem to be the case
In February, it was revealed that Emma Corrin (The Crown) has been cast as an undisclosed upcoming MCU character in Deadpool 3. Initially, it was also believed she will be portraying the film’s main antagonist, according to various reports. However, it seems that there is going to be a lot of change.
Despite what trades said Emma Corrin is not playing the main villain in Deadpool 3. A familiar face will be the main villain

Since Corrin joined Deadpool 3’s cast, a lot has been revealed such as Jennifer Garner reprising her role as Elektra, as well as Owen Wilson representing the TVA once more but in Deadpool. Also, we already knew that Ryan Reynolds found a co-star in Hugh Jackman as the celebrated actor brings his beloved Wolverine on the big screen once again.

There are rumors circulating that Deadpool 3’s big bad is a familiar face, someone we all have seen from the original X-Men trilogy movies – Magneto
If Spider-Man: No Way Home was a reunion between all of the actors who played Spidey (Tom Holland, Andrew Garfield, and Tobey Maguire), then Deadpool 3 is basically going to be an unexpected reunion of characters from Fox-produced Marvel movies. Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) will pair up with Wolverine (Hugh Jackman). The two will be joined by Elektra (Jennifer Garner) and that could probably mean Matt Murdock a.k.a Daredevil could possibly be around. Meanwhile, with Wolverine’s appearance, there’s a great chance the X-Men and the mutants will finally be fully introduced to the MCU. Aside from that, the Fantastic Four could also be in the film, according to rumors. That being said, Deadpool 3 will be a movie filled with tons and tons of cameos you surely don’t want to miss.

But, the most shocking rumor we may have seen is the possibility of Magneto being the big bad of Deadpool 3. It’s not entirely impossible since Patrick Stewart has already reprised his role as Professor X in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. There, Professor X was the leader of MCU’s Illuminati. Although there has been no official report, we can’t deny that this would be very epic. Deadpool 3 will hit theaters on May 3, 2024. We will keep posting more updates, so be sure to stay tuned on Spiel Times!

Will Deadpool 3 join the MCU at long last?
Almost a year ago, Ryan Reynolds teased every Marvel fan with a surprising cameo of Hugh Jackman in his video about the Deadpool 3 update. Obviously, fans were excited to see Hugh Jackman reprise his role as the beloved mutant Wolverine, especially now that he can do it with one of the most lovable anti-heroes, Deadpool. Well, to answer the question if Deadpool 3 will finally be connected to the MCU: Well, Reynolds talked about Deadpool’s “first appearance in the MCU”, which without a doubt confirms that Deadpool is indeed joining the franchise.
Moreover, the threequel will be officially a Marvel Studios project (as seen on the teaser poster)
Even Kevin Feige, the head of Marvel Studios has confirmed that the witty and irreverent antihero will be taking breaking the fourth wall, not in his own world, but in the MCU. In addition, since Jackman will be playing Wolverine again, we’re going to assume that this will be just like the Spider-Man: No Way Home where every Spider-Man from other universes (Sam Raimi’s and Marc Webb’s) will appear in MCU’s very own version of the friendly neighborhood hero.
Lest we forget, Professor X has already made his way into the MCU when he appeared in Doctor Strange in the MultiVerse of Madness as one of the members of The Illuminati. Hence, it would be possible we will be getting to see Deadpool and Wolverine in the same franchise. We are already in the MultiVerse saga, duh!
